“Obviously, Black-focused movies with Black actors and actresses are of no interest to the predominately old White men membership which votes for the Academy Awards”

BOYCOTT EVERYTHING! — Following last year’s Academy Award ceremony, the Soulvine attacked the racist event for its use of Black actors and actresses as entertainers and handmaids to White people. No Blacks were nominated for Academy Awards while the only use the Academy found for Black people during the ceremony was to have them sing and dance to the audience and present those ugly gold Oscars to an all night parade of White actors, actresses and such.

Based on the nominations, it’s clear that that scenario is set for next month’s 88th annual Oscars presentation inasmuch as no Black actor, actress of a Black-themed motion picture was nominated for an Academy Award. We should not tolerate such a belittling event again, and in that interest, a boycott of the event is righteously being called for and all of us should support it — including comic Chris Rock, who is scheduled to MC the farce. Rock should not show up and nobody else should either.

Can you believe that “Straight Outta Compton,” which chronicled the evolution of a whole new musical genre, and “Concussion,” which told the story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, the Nigerian immigrant who upset the football moguls by discovering the lethal effects of playing football on the brains of football players. Obviously, Black-focused movies with Black actors and actresses are of no interest to the predominately old White men membership which votes for the Academy Awards. That’s got to change. By the way, a movie is being made about the Tuskegee Airmen, which, based on the subject, is destined to feature several powerful performances by Black actors and actresses. But no matter how good they are, nobody will appreciate them but us.

HONEY, I’M HOME! — You know what else needs to be boycotted? The returning Los Angeles Rams. For some unknown reason, the Rams left us 20 years ago and settled into a new life in St. Louis. I’m wholeheartedly in support of having a football team in Los Angeles, but I want it to be any team except the Rams. The Rams is like a wayward husband who leaves his wife and moves in with another woman and then decides 20 years later to return to his wife! So how do the jilted residents of Los Angeles react to this? Like, crazy people! They’re happy and are welcoming the Rams “home” with open arms. That’s unnatural. Think about it. Is there any woman alive whose husband up and left her, moved in with another woman, and decided 20 years later to leave his woman and return to his wife, who eagerly welcomes him back! No such sane woman exists.

I hate the Rams and I hope they lose every game they play.
